We first met Catherine Hayward at an open house she was holding for her client’s condominium. My husband and I were looking for a condo larger than the two bedroom suite we owned, which would accommodate a home office and its necessary technology. The suite Ms. Hayward was having the open house at was not appropriate to our needs, but she noted the details of our requirements and the neighbourhoods in which we were interested. She indicated that she would call us whenever she saw something that might suit our needs. True to her word, Ms. Hayward would call intermittently and arrange for us to see something that was just coming on the market. Through our various reactions, she was able to understand our requirements more definitively. Catherine invited us to see a condominium at 1111 Bough Beeches Boulevard in Mississauga. My husband and I walked in, looked around and knew immediately that it was exactly what we wanted in terms of space, layout, view, access to transportation and shopping. We were also very happy with the building’s amenities. Catherine proceeded to guide us through the procedure of making an offer and responding to the changes made to the offer by the vendor. Eventually the matter was settled at an agreeable price and closing date, so the process of selling our existing unit began. We were heading out of town for 2 weeks, so Catherine targeted that time frame for her open house for agents, public open house and follow up appointments. She worked tirelessly and, by the time we returned to the city, there was an offer for our consideration. Once again, Catherine was invaluable in assisting us through the process and we soon had a final offer which pleased us. Moving far away from Etobicoke was not something we wanted. It was something we had to do. Selling our lovely house in Etobicoke was a difficult decision but the most rational choice for us.
When we finally decided to sell the house some people told us that it was not a good time for selling houses. Others wanted to find another reason to convince us to sell the house for less than its value. We disagreed with all of them. We wanted a real estate agent who would believe an asp and support us. You were that agent. If we were to buy or to sell real estate again we would hire you.
You were very professional in your conduct with represented our interests. Your guidance and clear communication with us made selling our house a stress free process. We also think the main reason for this was that you plan ahead and prepare in order to be calm articulate and assertive not aggressive.
